Danielle Koenig has been lying to you. They go by Dani. And, yeah, maybe they should change their professional name to Dani Koenig, but that feels so casual. Life is hard. It’s full of so many choices. This one will have to happen later.
Danielle (Dani?) Koenig has a BA in theatre performance from UCLA and an MFA in musical theatre writing from NYU. Their full length work has been developed by Second Stage, Theatre NOW, Prospect Theatre Company, Syracuse University, and more. Their standalone work has been seen at Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, Rattlestick Playwright's Theater, 54 Below, and more. They have won a couple competitions (brag) including Write Out Loud, Fusion Film Festival, and the Humanitas’ David and Lynn Angell Comedy Award. They have been commissioned by the Brooklyn Children’s Theater and FUSE Theatre, and are a member of UNTITLED Musical Writers Group.
Dani (Danielle?) Koenig tends to perform in gay stuff because of the way they are - some include Maiden Voyage (New Works Provincetown), 504: A New Musical (Disabled Down Center), The Memory Brigade (The Motor Company), Too Much Lesbian Drama: One Star (Samuel French OOB Play Festival), and Charlotte Lucas is 27 And Not Dead (Piper Theater).
