Dan Gibson
Dan Gibson is a composer, music director, and arts educator based in Queens, NY. His first two full length musicals have had University Workshops at Elon University: Beast Mode Chamption, the Pro-Wrestling Rock Musical (book/lyrics by Jeff Award winner Alex Higgin-Houser) and ID: an original musical (book/lyrics by Fred Ebb Award Winner Christopher Staskel.) Music Direction: The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina: Rock of Ages, Jersey Boys, Beautiful, Something Rotten, Waitress (upcoming); The Ivoryton Playhouse: Margaritaville, Joseph...(upcoming); Royal Caribbean Productions (Vocal Director for 9 years), Enlightened Theatrics (founding Music Director): High School Musical, Hair, 1940's Radio Hour, The Wizard of Oz (with a 17 piece orchestra), Plaid Tidings; and The Flat Rock Playhouse, where Dan has been an actor, music director and youth educator for nearly 20 productions. Dan has served as a Visiting Professor and Music Director for Elon University's nationally ranked Music Theatre Program, where he created Elon's first Musical Theatre Songwriting course.
